"Koh" or "Ko" or "Kho" meaning "Island" or "เกาะ" in Thai language. "Koh Samui" or "KohSamui" or "Ko Samui" are the same meaning "Samui Island".
What is "Samui"?
"Samui" might come from "Sao Muai", which means the first barrier in Chinese. Or it might come from "Mui", a name of plant in the southern region of Thailand. What ever it was, nowadays, Samui is one of the most famous islands in Thailand, what the foreigners call the island of coconut.
