Koh Samui Thailand

"Koh" or "Ko" or "Kho" meaning "Island" or "เกาะ" in Thai language. "Koh Samui" or "KohSamui" or "Ko Samui" are the same meaning "Samui Island".

What is "Samui"?
"Samui" might come from "Sao Muai", which means the first barrier in Chinese. Or it might come from "Mui", a name of plant in the southern region of Thailand. What ever it was, nowadays, Samui is one of the most famous islands in Thailand, what the foreigners call the island of coconut.

Why should it be Samui?
For some travelers, Samui is like heaven on earth with something for everyone. Whether it be modern comfort or simple and traditional life, luxurious palaces or pure nature, surrounded by many small and large islands that offer different styles of traveling. For these reasons, Samui is the place where many people wish to spend their quality time. While some visited Samui just once, and then, live here forever.
